RESPONSIBILITY IN CHRISTENDOM

It has taken such a long time for me to even get on the brink of Christian responsibility. Because you see, for people like me, responsibility is a continuum of deeds…solely deeds. And so, when others shelve ‘work’ over to God, we find it alarming; almost ‘irresponsible’ even. We just do not understand! This article is for such individuals who have perfected the art of doing. It is amazingly easy to forget the parts where scripture expressly proclaims that we should let go of our burdens, cast our cares upon God, look to God for wisdom, direction and the straightening of our paths. Needless to say, if we ‘work’ without ‘walking’ in God steps, we have worked for nothing. Therefore, we need to be reminded as frequently as possible to depend on God and actually trust him (He is more responsible than we are). When sorely pressed to bow to that innate configuration to do, take a deep breath, pause, inquire, ascertain…and then do. It always pays!
