AIMLESS

When body cells begin to lose sight of whom they are, they begin to differentiate along another line; resulting in the formation of cancerous cells. Sometimes, we wander aimlessly in a wilderness of our own making, forgetting the plans which are meant to guide us.  But why wouldn’t we wander? For astray and astray we go, seeking ‘better’ unfounded things and only the humblest of us eventually return to tremble at the master’s feet. ‘Therefore I do not run uncertainly (without definite aim). I do not box like one beating the air and striking without an adversary’. 1Cor 9:26 (AMP) The man who wants to win cannot afford to have aimless pursuits, he cannot choose a lackadaisical format of living and he definitely has to exercise self control over desired but unfulfilled wants.

PATIENCE AND PAINS

Could our pain result in persevering palpable patience? Because everyone has peculiar hurts; and its seemingly useless if our pains are just a rite of passage into ‘maturity’. There’s a better option though: Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience. (James 1:3; AMP) So when we’re tempted to think our hearts hurt too much and we can survive no more, remember that patience, steadfastness, deep strength is to be borne from our pain, as well as exemplary leadership for as many as come behind us.   And [also] most of the brethren have derived fresh confidence in the Lord because of my chains and are much more bold to speak and publish fearlessly the Word of God [acting with more freedom and indifference to the consequences]. (Phil 1:14; AMP) How great would it be to ascertain that someone damned the consequences and chose the right path because of your choice to forge ahead regardless of the battles bein

THE IMPORTANCE OF EXCRETION

1 John 1:7-9  But if we walk in the light, God himself being the light, we also experience a shared life with one another, as the sacrificed blood of Jesus, God's Son, purges all our sin.  If we claim that we're free of sin, we're only fooling ourselves. A claim like that is errant nonsense. On the other hand, if we admit our sins — make a clean breast of them — he won't let us down; he'll be true to himself. He'll forgive our sins and purge us of all wrongdoing. (The Message) Excretion is to the healthiness human body as forgiveness is to the healthiness of the human spirit. Just as the blood of Christ cleanses us from all our sins, excretion cleanses our bowels. Refusing to ask God for forgiveness because we feel warped and unworthy due to the ‘overwhelming’ sins with which one is stained is just like refusing to go to the toilet because one is purging…it only results in more discomfort to the point of eventual desperation and depression. CURATIVE MEASURES.

We have our challenges, all of us do. From the best to the least, and from the greatest to the smallest. And sometimes; our challenges seem ready to engulf us, to make us irrelevant. Ironically, the ones who stand firm are those who make those self-same challenges irrelevant, tipping the table the other way round. Instead of offering palliative measures to these issues, they even call them boldly into question; exasperating the challenges as though they were human with such truthful words of wisdom. Prevention is better than cure, we have heard. But what about the un-prevented? Shouldn’t we rather cure them than look the other way in pure disinterest? And just like the doctor would walk this path rather than promenade leisurely through the easy route, this is what the wise would do as well. Let us seek cures to our spiritual, physical, mental and psychological ailments…let us earnestly seek truly complete healing and we’d be on the road to complete remission. Happy Sund

THE STRENGTH OF THE IDIOPATHIC

The word idiopathic is just a big code word for an unknown/undiagnosed disease entity. Its more like a ‘secret’ infection/disease/pathology. One can therefore logically infer that a disease with an undiscovered root cause will have an ‘undiscovered’ treatment, for it is the certainty of a disease that procures certainty of treatment, right? Seemingly the same for secrets; as a secret loses that strong grip/hold on the one who keeps it once he finds that courage to divulge it; howbeit to relevant individuals at that moment. True mental freedom comes at the price of openness, plainness and the ability to see what a sham it is to remain bound by secrets.

VISUAL IMPERFECTIONS

In the process of conception of dreams, the point of fertilization is most vital; the rooting together of the basic elements that add flavor to our life aspirations. However, birth in itself isn’t defined solely by fertilization. A host of other factors contribute to the making of our dreams and realization of our visions- and as the process becomes more and more elongated, focus diminishes in a progressive fashion, almost perfectly plotted against time. Even when all we have is relatively insignificant- especially in our own eyes and when it seems to be totally irrelevant to our obvious needs; let us place our trust in the Lord to lead our steps and to guide our paths. We could ask, why exactly did the widow (1 Kings4) have a jar of oil? It seemed conspicuously irrelevant to her and not until Elisha pointed her to it did she know the inherent potential of that jar of oil. In life, it becomes very easy after a while to lose respect for our special capabilities, for our talen
