Although
the nervous system is a pretty tangible mass comprising nervous tissue mainly,
and time is quite intangible; there are pretty astonishing facts that they
seemingly buttress in spite of their clear differences.
Taking
a break from our series on hearing right, we observe the astounding
similarities between the nervous system’s component, the brain and time.
1. Both offer you a grand choice:
You can decide to either fritt away or invest
your time, as much as you can choose to waste a large part of your brain while
shying away as much as possible from doing anything remotely mentally-exerting.
2. Memory:
The common phrase “Time will tell” briefly encapsulates the fact that time
really, does manage to bring up decisions, actons, words of the past to stare
into our faces. The concept of memory (which time makes use of) isn’t any
stranger. Memory storage occurs in the brain; and certainly, in the healthy, the
brain does tell!
3. Cash value:
it has been constantly stated that “time is money”. In fact, time is often more
than money, for time once lost, cannot be regained…in that way they are like non-retrievable
words. Actually, he brain, if properly used, is an active source of income. Brain
power brings wealth, as avid author Napoleon Hill states in his classic “Think
and Grow Rich”.
4.
Brain
death≠ Time death, but:
Time death= Brain death
These
equations hold because a person who’s brain dead but whose heart is still
beating has the same amount of time you and I have, albeit, cannot utilize it. Conversely,
he who has run out of time, definitely, has run out of life!
5.
You
can’t make true use of your time, without making good use of your brain:
Or should it be the other way round?
Well…the
point is this, mental activity is time and if I may add, glucose consuming
If
you want to make better use of your time than most, the solution is quite
simple: be nerve-ous. Use your nervous wiring well.
In
layman words, THINK!
