CURATIVE MEASURES.

We have our challenges, all of us do. From the best to the least, and from the greatest to the smallest. And sometimes; our challenges seem ready to engulf us, to make us irrelevant. Ironically, the ones who stand firm are those who make those self-same challenges irrelevant, tipping the table the other way round.

Instead of offering palliative measures to these issues, they even call them boldly into question; exasperating the challenges as though they were human with such truthful words of wisdom.

Prevention is better than cure, we have heard. But what about the un-prevented? Shouldn’t we rather cure them than look the other way in pure disinterest? And just like the doctor would walk this path rather than promenade leisurely through the easy route, this is what the wise would do as well.

Let us seek cures to our spiritual, physical, mental and psychological ailments…let us earnestly seek truly complete healing and we’d be on the road to complete remission. Happy Sunday in my part of the world!

Through my myopic eyes, a fleeting image of a little boy is formed on my retina A little boy in a little suit, Treading the familiar bushy routes before him The boy had neither escort nor directives And surely, he needed none For a 4 yr old on the road possesses more maturity than a 10 year old in ‘comfort’ Swiftly, she navigated through cars held in traffic An adventurous smile tugging at her split lips Providing snacks for impatient car-owners And though panting from car-chasing, She had a visible life of passionate content She probably planned to get off the street, Forsake her hypothetical ‘street-urchin boyfriend’, Give up this demeaning way of living, But I feared she wouldn’t! LIKE FAITH AND LOVE

Gal 5:6 - For [if we are] in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith activated and energized and expressed and working through love. The heart and the lungs are like faith and love, their functions intertwined, their locations proximate, the feelings that they generate just as conclusive. They produce hope for the survival of the physical body, just like faith and love produce hope for the spiritual body’s survival. Experiences of today made me realize something: we need faith intertwined with love to breathe as spirit beings, as much as we need the functional capacity of our cardio-respiratory apparatuses to breathe the breath of life. It’s that important…faith and love I mean.
