LESSONS FROM BACTERIA

From sophisticated bacteria down to simple, traditional forms of these organisms, bacteria seem to be everywhere. Potent as they are, they are notable for existing under the most unfavorable conditions, and not only do they exist, even there, they live well and multiply/replicate more forms.
Humans as we are, higher creatures, mammals, etc as we are indeed called by notable scientists, we could learn a few potent things from these extremely wise and seemingly cunning creatures.
1.      VERSATILITY- A typical feature that confers virulence (ability to survive and cause harm to man) on some bacteria is the presence of CAPSULES.
2.      CREATIVITY- From my perspective, creativity is the ability to use a situation that’s peculiar to you, that could easily be called detrimental from another’s perspective, for your own benefit. God has given us ALL that we need to survive and excel.
Maybe we aren’t the only living creatures with this benefit, as bacteria seem to have as well as utilize the principle of creativity to their advantage.
3.      WISDOM (PERCEPTION): The species of bacteria are wise enough to live where pays them. They do not, and will not try to stay where their needs will not be met. As facultative anaerobes can survive with/without oxygen, so are some things not necessary for human survival. As well, obligate anaerobes cannot survive in the presence of oxygen and as well, there are some things a human being would not be able to thrive in.
Be wise and perceptive enough to understand when an environment will kill you and flee such.
4.      MICROSCOPIC: Bacteria are very small, mostly invisible to the naked eye. Yet, their full-blown effects range from septicemia to death. i.e you do not have to be seen before you’re effective.
And those are some principal lessons from bacteria. Your views would be highly welcome, and I hope that next time you hear about them, you remember the principles of versatility, creativity, wisdom and microscopic(ity?). lol. Up bacteria!

She was supposed to be?’ ‘Do you even have any other patient on the ward?’ ‘Ehm…no sir. But my other patient has just been discharged’ ‘Please, leave my ward round. CHRONICLES OF A NIGERIAN PHYSIOTHERAPIST by 'Bola Abioye

EPISODE FIVE ‘Mum, who called you this time again?’ I finally asked. ‘Oh… Charles, that’s what matters to you now right. What matters to you is if it’s Prophet Jabesh or Prophet Judas that called me?’ Then I burst into laughter. I can’t help but wonder why these prophets must bear names as Judas, Jabesh…if you know, you know. Then she changed it for me straight up. ‘Charles, why exactly are you laughing? You know I get scared anytime you get close to that girl and you know that I am at the risk of having stroke with the way my blood pressure rises in little situations.’ There she goes again. My mum gets little information on health precautions and that’s the end. We hear nothing else save what she has learnt in the house for about at least a month. She subscribes to all sorts of health tips on her network and then tries to confirm her newly found information from me. She has several facts on why eating eba, using an onion bulb that has been cut once and use...
