paused.
The
most important things are the hardest to say.
I
wrote:
Please
keep a dictionary beside you
As
you read this excerpt from my heart
I
paused again;
‘I
could hear my heart beating,
I
could hear everyone’s heart
I
could hear the human noise we sat there, making
Not
one of us moving, not even when the room went dark’
I
felt the intricacies of these words in the cold recesses of my soul
I
tried to voice out the words
But
I just could not
For
they were stuck, locked up in my larynx
Talk!
Talk! I heard him scream through his eyes
I
shook my head mildly
I
couldn’t
I
just couldn’t
His
heart, was breaking
