'Give to Caeser the things that are Caeser's, and give to God the things that are God's.' Mark 12:17
Spirituality sometimes beclouds our reasoning so much that we assume that praying, fasting and studying of God’s word means we do not have to work hard.
Frankly, the fact that you preach God’s word with so much fervor doesn’t give you the autonomy of being lazy at your job.
It is Caeser’s portion.
God is not pleased with laziness- it is diligence, not spirituality, that makes one stand before kings and not ordinary men. In actual fact, hardworking, unspiritual men and women excel because the law of sowing and reaping is super-real. Shouldn’t Christians actually be better employees/workers?
Hard work cannot be substituted for spiritual sensitivity, and vice versa.
This week, let us remember that as we work at our different jobs.
Happy New Week!
